Houses of Exaltation and Decline of the Seven Planets
Saturn's House is: of night Capricorn, of day Aquarius. In Taurus there is trouble, in Libra glory. Jupiter holds the Archer (Saggitarius), with Pisces when in Cancer, fortune, ill luck in Mercury.
The house of Mars is Tarus and aggressive Scorpio. This is removed in Capricorn, and pressed lowest in Cancer.
The Sun is at home only in the house of Leo, and in Taurus there is glory, in Libra sorrow.
Venus dwells in the hourses of Mercury and Libra. In Pisces it is exalted, in Virgo it lies subdued.
Mercury dwelling in Gemini triumphs on his throne. It is afflicted in Virgo and comes to its head in Pisces.
The Moon possesses Cancer. It honours Mercury, and moreover its fortune is subdued in Scorpio.

Epilogue

"These are the things which we have gathered into this our calendar, in a varied compilation made with great labor and research, for an introduction to natural magic. If the viewers will scrutinize with great care the things written here, they will be able to follow a complete doctrine of the magical art, as well as infallible experiments.

But as for you, malevolent slanderers of low and insipid ignorance, sons of iniquity, flee from these things of ours and leave them untouched. For to critize is easy, but to emulate is hard; and in great matters it is difficult to please many, while to please everyone is nigh impossible.".
